How to make Kabuli Palao?
What you will need:
1. Rice (5 cups)
2. Carrots (3 large, grated)
3. Raisins (1/5 cup)
4. Almonds (1/5 cup, grated)
5. Salt (3 teaspoons)
6. Sugar (2 tablespoons)
7. Oil (1 cup)
8. Dalchini (1 and half teaspoon)
9. Water (to boil rice in) and 1/5 cup more
What you need to do:
1. You will need to boil the rice until the rice is soft in the mouth. Sift it out and make sure there is no water left.
2. Get a frying pan and put the oil in it followed by the sugar (DO NOT MIX THE SUGAR INTO THE OIL)
3. Once the sugar is fried into a light brown colour, add it into on top of the rice.
4. Then use the same pan and add 1/5 cup water into it and the salt with the dalchini, once its boiled add it into the rice.
5. Get the carrots, raisins and almonds and put it in the microwave for 5 minutes then put it in the rice and mix everything together.
6. Once all of those steps are done, put it on high heat and listen to it until you hear it popping then put it on the lowest heat for at least an hour.
7. Serve hot after an hour.
