How to make Bhindi (okra)?
What you will need:1. 300 grams (about 12 oz.) okra cut into small (1/4") pieces
2. 1 cup(s) onion sliced finely
3. 3 tablespoon(s) oil
4. 1 teaspoon(s) each of red chili powder, coriander powder and cumin powder
5. ½ teaspoon(s) each of turmeric powder and hot spice mix (garam masala) *powder
6. 2 green chilies slit
7. 1 tsp lemon juice
8. chopped coriander leaves for garnish
9. salt to taste
What you will need to do:
1. Heat oil on medium level in a pan for about 2 minute(s).
2. Add onions, and stir fry till they are very lightly brown.
3. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala.
4. Fry this again for a few seconds.
5. Add the okra and the slit green chillies.
6. Add a dash of lemon and sprinkle salt to taste.
7. Mix well.
8. Cover and cook on low heat for about 5 minutes or till the okra is cooked but firm.
9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
